 Tips on making sure your property is insured correctly! 

1st Tip 

• If you have a mortgage on your home be sure to check with your lender to ensure you are carrying the proper amount of coverage. Homeowners who have a mortgage on their home have to insure it for what the mortgage company requires. Failing to do so can end with added fees or penalties added to your account. 

2nd Tip 

• Most homeowners don't know this but not every home qualify's for a homeowner's policy. One of the main reasons is due to lack of maintenance or upkeep of a property. Your house doesn't have to look like it belongs in a Home depot commercial but should have the grass maintained along with all debris picked up and disposed of properly. Not complying with the Homeowners Guidelines of your insurance policy can result in cancellation or non-renewal of a policy. Other examples that will lead to non-renewal or cancellation are Broken Windows, missing siding, or cars that are broken down.

3rd Tip

• High deductibles or Low deductibles? Both have pros and cons, some clients rather pay more premium with lower deductibles though out the year but pay less when a loss occurs. Having a higher deductible will result in paying less premium though out the year but when losses occur will be paying more out of pocket.
